Test your knowledge at Batavia Road Rally

The community is invited to join the Batavia Park District in an epic excursion into Batavia and its history Saturday, April 27 at the new Road Rally event.

In cooperation with Batavia Preservation Week, the Batavia Road Rally is a new competitive and educational special event much like "The Amazing Race" that is sure to be fun for the entire family.

Compete against your fellow Batavians through a series of hints, clues and activities.

Teams will earn points along the route as they test their knowledge of Batavia history and navigation of the city. Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the most points and who show the most team spirit.

Preregistration is preferred and team check-in is at 1:30 p.m. at the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St.

The Road Rally will begin at 2 p.m. sharp and be followed with an awards ceremony and refreshments at 4:30 p.m.

The event fee is $10 per team and you can have as many people in the vehicle that can safely fit.

Teams must have a valid driver's license, drive safely and follow all the rules of the road.
