St. Thomas of Villanova hosts trivia night

St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic School invites the community to the seventh annual Trivia Night Saturday May 4, in the Rowley Activity Center, 1201 E. Anderson Drive Palatine.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with games starting at 7 p.m.

Don't miss this Star Wars themed night dubbed "May the 4th be with you." Back by popular demand, Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz will be the emcee for this evening, where tables of eight people will compete in eight rounds of general trivia for the chance to win a first-place prize of $400, second-place prize of $200 or third-place prize of $100.

In addition to trivia fun, attendees will also have the chance to bid on a variety of silent auction items, oral auction items and play the "Everyone Wins Wall," hosted by the school's Family School Association. Dessert auctions, Heads N' Tails games and more fun is in store.

Tables should provide their own food, but a cash bar, will sell affordable beer, wine and margaritas. No outside beverages allowed. Participants must be 21 years old to attend.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic School, a Blue Ribbon school serving preschool through eighth grade.

Tickets to this event are $30 per person or $220 for a table of eight people. Space is limited. To order advance tickets, visit http://stvschool.org/openhousesandevents/ and remit completed form and payment to the church or school by Monday, April 29. At the door tickets prices are $35.
