COD's graphic design program to host Portfolios 2019 May 9

On Thursday, May 9, the Graphic Design program at College of DuPage will host Portfolios 2019, celebrating the graphic design work of COD and DuPage County high school students. It will be 6 to 9 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the college's Glen Ellyn campus.

COD students currently enrolled in the Portfolio Seminar course will present and discuss work developed during their time in the program.

Original work includes graphic design, illustrations, advertising campaigns and web design.

The 13th annual event also features an awards ceremony.

Graphic design students will receive first place awards and prizes in the categories of portfolio, identity design, publication design, illustration, 3-D design and web design. In the high school competition, first place awards, honorable mentions and prizes will be given in the categories of illustration and graphic design.

"This platform has proved to be a great place for students to showcase their creative skills to hundreds of their peers, families, industry leaders and community members," said COD Graphic Design Professor David Rogers. "Portfolios has grown substantially, resulting in a great networking opportunity for all involved."
