hello

The Libertyville Civic Center Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of the new Program and Activities Manager for the Senior Center. Jennifer West's first day on the job was Monday March 22nd and she has hit the ground running meeting current Senior Center activity attendee's, helping in the Libertyville Diner and facilitating programs on the monthly calendar. Jennifer is looking forward to keeping the current programs Senior's love as well as finding some new and exciting activities and tours for local Senior's to partake in.

Mrs. West has a Bachelor's degree from University of Missouri in Parks Recreation and Tourism. Prior to staying home to raise her children she worked at the Naval Station Great Lakes coordinating their activities and events for the single sailor population as well as managing the recreation center on base. Most recently she has done fundraising and events for her Relay for Life team, the Beach Park Band Boosters and Kenneth Murphy PTO. She resides in Zion with her husband and three children.

Jennifer's message to residents is "I am excited to be here at the Libertyville Senior Center and want to meet everyone so I encourage all Seniors to stop in, say Hi and let me know what type of activities interest you the most. This is your center and I want there to be events and activities that make you want to come see us every week. I would also love to expand our Libertyville Diner selections to more local restaurant choices so come tell us your favorite places to eat in town so that hopefully we can add them to the menu rotation. I am so hoping to have a large lunch crowd every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well as on special event days like the monthly Birthday Bashes.

To meet Jennifer stop by during Senior Center hours Monday thru Friday 9 am to 4 pm or give her a call at 847-247-7659 with any questions or suggestions you may have. The Senior Center is located in the Libertyville Civic Center at 135 W. Church St.
