Nothing But Treble to perform 'An American Tapestry' April 27

Nothing But Treble, a local women's choral ensemble, will present "An American Tapestry" concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27.

The concert will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 240 Standish St. in downtown Elgin.

The evening's musical presentation, "An American Tapestry," will celebrate some of America's greatest composers, singers, and arrangers through the decades.

Nothing But Treble is in its third season. Its motto is "Strong Women's Voices United in Song," and the choir members come from Elgin and the surrounding communities. Nothing But Treble's programming features outstanding repertoire for women's voices of every genre with a strong nod to female composers and arrangers.

Nothing But Treble is founded and directed by Rosalind Zager.

A freewill offering is taken at each concert and donations are made to worthy causes in the Elgin community.
