MCC offers courses on how to start your own business

Aspiring entrepreneurs can get tips on how to start a new business or create a new business plan at two popular seminars offered by the Illinois Small Business Development Center at McHenry County College.

Whether your business is going out for capital or is simply looking to drive a greater margin, a business plan is essential. Learn what to include in a good business plan and the method to project your cash flow. Get prepared for that meeting with the bank at the Business Planning Essentials workshop from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Cost is $35.

Starting a Business in Illinois will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5. Multiple aspects of business ownership will be discussed, including the legal aspects of starting a business in Illinois, the importance of a business plan and the resources available to support a new venture. Another seminar will be from 6-8 p.m. on April 2. Cost is $35.
