Gail Borden Public Library continues its Sunday Afternoon Concert Series with the Estrella Piano Duo on Feb. 17.

The concert will be from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Meadows Community Room at the main library, 270 N. Grove Ave. in downtown Elgin.

Acclaimed pianists Svetlana Belsky and Elena Doubovitskaya will perform on two pianos "Tales from the East", stories of romance, magic and adventure by Russian composers. It will feature music by Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakoff, Prokofiev and Stravinsky.

Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments after the concert.

Free tickets are available at the main library, Rakow Branch and South Elgin Branch three weeks prior to each concert.

On March 10, the Lyrebird Ensemble, an innovative flute and harp duo based in Chicago, will perform. Their performances are the perfect combination of exciting virtuosity and refined elegance, offering audiences a wide variety of styles within the beautiful sounds of these instruments.

On April 14, the Millikin University's School of Music will present the 2019 Hollis Prize Winner's Recital at Gail Borden Public Library. The competition is made possible through the generosity of Dr. Kimm Hollis, Millikin alumnus and professor of music and artist in-residence emeritus at Hanover College in Indiana.
