Arts in Bartlett launches a new exhibit at its gallery

"A Whiter Shade of Pale" is the theme of the new three-month exhibit at Arts in Bartlett gallery, 215 S. Main St. in downtown Bartlett. Fourteen regional artists are featured in this exhibit that asked them to submit works that "could be light and bright, ghostly, mysterious, lightly colored or grayscale," which resulted in a variet of interpretations in photography, watercolor, acrylic and collage. They include Marianne Anderson, Vicki Boyle, Linda Kay, Lambert Lucietto and Patricia Panopoulos from Bartlett; Cynthia Meier from Elgin; Jade Morem, Kate Burlette and Jenny Vogt from Streamwood; Sheila Newenham from Wayne; Joanne Barsanti from Roselle; Judith Horsley and Kathy Manning from West Chicago and Debi Gajewski from Niles.

Arts in Bartlett will host an Artist Reception and Gallery Talk on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m., in which the artists will talk about how their works were inspired by the theme. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments served and donations to the Arts Center encouraged. This exhibit will be up through April. Gallery hours are Tues/Thurs/Sat 10 to 5 and Friday noon to 6.
