Primary's 'Light Up the Night' rescheduled for Feb. 7

Woodland District 50's Primary School will host P.B.I.S. (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Family Night from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at the school, 17366 West Gages Lake Road.

The night, with a popular glow-in-the-dark theme, was rescheduled with the closing of facilities Thursday, Jan. 31, due to subzero temperatures and wind chills.

Primary's "Light Up the Night and Do What's Right" event is open to all Primary students and their families. The evening's activities will focus on making positive choices and building positive relationships at school.

Families will participate in a variety of activities that teach turn taking, collaborative skills, and other positive behaviors.

Each family attending will receive a variety of coupons from local businesses such as Chili's Restaurant and Rainforest Café. Participants will also receive a door prize entry ticket for a chance to win prizes such as a "super fun pack" (soccer ball, stuffed animal, keychain, and jump rope), one-hour jump passes to Jump America, and various gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses.

Students are encouraged to wear their "Light Up the Night" T-shirt if they purchased one in advance or neon/bright colors. Glow-in-the-dark accessories are encouraged, but not required.
