Lawyers on demand? Yes, please; LawCo.

LawCo has launched its free flagship app for iOS and Android and corresponding website; designed to instantly connect Cook County lawyers with residents in need of legal representation. Created and founded by Chicago native, lawyer Lauren Glennon, the LawCo app and website both provide those in need of legal assistance instant access to lawyers, on demand, in a simple, streamlined way.

The concept for LawCo was born from a realization Lauren had while representing a client on a traffic ticket. While standing in the lobby of the Markham courthouse, Lauren noticed that there were many unrepresented people; looking lost and in need of a lawyer's help. Because of ethics rules in Illinois, she was prevented from asking them if they wanted legal assistance. Lauren knew many of them would benefit, the way her client had, from having a lawyer representing them in court. This sparked the question: Is there an efficient way to connect a person, in real time, to a lawyer?

After researching the question thoroughly, Lauren discovered that the answer was "no." With over 1.1 million cases pending, yearly, in Cook County alone, Lauren determined that the public would greatly benefit from an increase in access to legal help; less days taken off work, less delay, improved efficiency and more favorable results.
