Submitted by Gorton Community Center

Gorton Community Center understands that even Santa's Little Helpers need a place to shop this holiday season.

On Wednesday, Dec. 5, children ages 4-10 are invited to a "kids-only" shopping extravaganza from 3-6 p.m. where local merchants will sell items at kid-friendly prices; no item will cost more than $10. Vendors including Clay Monet, Devora's Dreams, Gifted, Kiddles, Lake Forest Book Store, Mark David Designs, Usborne Books, The Initial Choice, Lemony Frank, Dee's Bees Honey, Brooklyn Elves and others will be on hand to assist children in this independent shopping experience.

Additionally, there will be an hour reserved for special customers. From 2-3 p.m. on Dec. 5, immediately before to the main shopping event, children of all ages with sensory and special needs are invited to pre-shop before the crowds come in.

The Kids Only Holiday Shop is a way to allow children experience the joy of giving.
