A Libertyville Thanksgiving Tradition Continues as Agents of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group Provide Complete Thanksgiving Meals for 145 Lake County Residents in Need
On Tuesday, November 20, in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday, agents and staff of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group's Libertyville office met at Jewel-Osco in Libertyville to compile 145 complete Thanksgiving meals. Each box contained a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, candied yams, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce and a pumpkin pie. Boxes were then transported to five Township offices for distribution to Lake County residents in need.
The office began collecting donations for the grocery items in October, not knowing until this week how many dinners they would be able to complete. Jewel-Osco provided a fantastic staging area and the boxes to be filled. The rows of boxes stood at the ready to receive the components of the meal, added one by one by experienced hands. Once checklists and boxes were complete, a Happy Thanksgiving note was added and then the boxes were loaded into vehicles for transport.
