PFLAG Illinois to host organizational meeting for Northern Kane/Western Cook Nov. 4

If you or someone you love and care about is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning (LGBTQ+), you are invited to an informational meeting to learn more about what PFLAG can do for you, your loved ones, and our communities.

John Hickey, president of PFLAG Council of Northern Illinois, will present PFLAG's commitment to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy.

PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) envisions celebrating diversity where all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

PFLAG is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is not affiliated with any religious organizations.

If you share this vision and are interested in seeing a chapter initiated in Northern Kane and Western Cook counties, join them to find community and learn more from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at St. James Episcopal Church, 516 Washington St., West Dundee. The meeting will be formatted much like a traditional PFLAG chapter meeting, including an educational program and introductions. Your confidentiality is respected. Refreshments will be provided.
