Woodland Board of Education Forum Scheduled for October 29

Woodland School District 50 Board of Education is hosting a forum at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 with the focus being school start times.

Board members will make a presentation that includes the medical research, decision considerations and what other school districts have done, after which there will be public comment and questions. Light refreshments will be available.

Identifying current practices that address the "whole child" and researching new trends such as start times to advance those practices is an initiative in Goal 4 of Woodland's Strategic Plan under student well-being.

The public is invited to attend the forum, which will be held at Woodland Intermediate School, 1115 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee.
