Saint Viator High School prospective student open house is Oct. 21, 22

Saint Viator High School, a Catholic college preparatory high school in Arlington Heights, will host its annual Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct 21 and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22.

The Open House introduces prospective students and their families to Saint Viator life, allowing them to learn more about academics, sports and activities and faith development programs. It also gives students the chance to walk the halls of Saint Viator to get a feel for the school.

"With so many great schools in the area, deciding where to attend high school can be overwhelming, especially for a young person," said Christine Bremner, director of enrollment at Saint Viator. "Our Open Houses are great opportunities for prospective students to be in the environment and see if our school is a good fit for them."

During the Open House, prospective students and parents can take a tour of the school led by a current Saint Viator student.

"Families will be able to meet with teachers, administrators, coaches and current students at the Open House," said Patrick Gaeger, assistant director of Enrollment at Saint Viator. "We strongly encourage guests to ask as many questions as possible. This is your opportunity to learn everything you can about being a Lion."

At the Open House, students will also learn about Shadow Days, transportation and tuition assistance, and key admissions dates, including the entrance exam test date.

Though most attendees are eighth-graders, younger students are welcome to attend as well to get a jump start on school selection. All attendees are encouraged to register online at saintviator.com/admissions/openhouse to avoid long lines at the door.

Saint Viator High School is a Catholic, College Preparatory high school where tradition and innovation meet.
