Fall Break Field Trips Offered for Days Off School

Parents whose children attend School Districts 54 or 15 can rest assured knowing that during the Thanksgiving holiday break, when school is out, their kids ages 5-12 can have a blast going on fun field trips. The Hoffman Estates Park District offers child care for children needing care on school holidays, institute days and in-services. On full days off, child care is offered from 7 a.m. through 6 p.m. Children must arrive by 9 a.m. Programs are available at Willow Recreation Center (3600 Lexington Dr.) or the Triphahn Center (1685 W. Higgins Rd.). The children are bussed to the field trips on the park district's bus. The full days off programs are open to all residents and non-residents:

Nov. 19 - Barnaby's Pizza - Kids will make their own pizza at Barnaby's Pizza in Arlington Heights and watch a movie while they eat their creations. Drop off and pick up is at Willow Recreation Center.

Nov. 20 - Pinot's Palette - Kids will get a blank canvas and a painting lesson from a professional artist. Please bring a sack lunch. Drop off and pick up is at Willow Recreation Center.

Nov. 21 - Funway - Kids will get a play card to choose from bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, roller skating, video games and more. Please bring a sack lunch. Drop off and pick up is at Willow Recreation Center or Triphahn Center.

Daily field trip fees are the same $50 per day for residents and non-residents. Register online at heparks.org or at one of the park district's facilities. For more information call 847-285-5535.
