Spirit of Live comes to Good Shepherd Lutheran Oct. 28
On Reformation Sunday, Oct. 28, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Elgin is hosting the 60-voice ecumenical choir, Spirit of Life, at 4:30 p.m.
"Jesus Can Change Your Life" is the theme of the Spirit of Life Chorus fall concert series.
The concert will be held in the Worship Center at the Nesler Road campus, 195 Nesler Road.
The choir is directed by Marc Stiehr, a lifelong member.
"This is Spirit's third visit to Good Shepherd in four years, we are truly blessed to have them back. The choir is upbeat and engaging, and they enjoy what they do, giving praise to the Lord" according to Gary Lichthardt, music and worship arts director.
The style of music they do is "Gaitheresque", and that covers a wide range of styles.
Spirit of Life will perform a combination of praise music and Christmas music. They bring their own band with them too, it's all live! Many talented people make it happen each weekend, October through December. A huge commitment, but something they just love to do.
Doors open at 4 p.m. Admission is free but a freewill offering will be taken. Preconcert music starts at 4:10 p.m.
