Harrington Manor II and Flagship Location Host Holiday Open Houses November 8 - 12, 2018

With the holiday season well on its way, Harrington Manor II (25 W. Palatine Road) and its flagship location (16B S. Bothwell Street) will both be hosting a five-day Holiday Open House from November 8-12 to help area residents get ready to decorate and entertain! The specialty home design and décor retail shops are located just steps away from one another in historic downtown Palatine.

In addition to a festive environment and bounds of holiday cheer, customers can enjoy 15% off items storewide at both locations during the open houses, and a gift with purchase while supplies last. Both stores are fully stocked with home décor, gifts and fashion-forward items, with a special emphasis on the holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

"This year we have increased all of our holiday décor and accessory options to cover all of our customers' holiday needs," said Vicki Ruetsche, owner. "There are new and exciting lines to choose from for the home and entertaining, and many beautiful gift options for those who want unique items you likely won't see anywhere else."

The original Harrington Manor opened its doors in 2000 in the shopping mall located on the south side of Palatine Road between Brockway and Bothwell streets. Over the last 18 years, it has developed a deep and loyal customer base who have come to rely on the store to freshen up home décor, with a strong emphasis on holiday entertaining and has developed a reputation for being the go-to destination in downtown Palatine for home décor and accessories.

In 2016, Harrington Manor expanded to open Harrington Manor II in a nearly 130-year-old Tudor style chalet building with 1,500 square feet of display space, across the street and just minutes away from the original location. The second store is considerably larger than the first and provides ample space to view items in a home-like setting.

"My goal was to create an atmosphere to inspire holiday decorating ideas. It really does feel like, 'home for the holidays' in both of our locations, and that is something that our customers absolutely love," Ruetsche said.

Product lines include the new mini Nora Fleming platter pieces, football helmets, and a limited Bear Hug wagon (proceeds from sales benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital) and Beatriz Ball serving pieces that can go from freezer, to oven to table. Specialty candles from Illume and Magnolia Home, velvet plush pumpkins with designer fabrics, new holiday water lanterns and Pudus slipper socks (one of Oprah's "favorite things") are available, in addition to dozens of other items and product lines.

The open house(s) will be held from Thursday, November 8 - Monday, November 12; Thursday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year for both Harrington Manor locations, and both are open seven days a week through December 31. Please visit harringtonmanor.com for store location and hours outside of the open house hours listed above.
