Sample Barrington area's finest food, drink at TasteFest

Tickets are now on sale for the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce's 15th annual Great Barrington Area TasteFest, which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at The Onion Pub & Brewery, 22221 N. Pepper Road, in Lake Barrington. The annual event showcases samples from some of the finest purveyors of food and spirits in the Barrington Area.

Tickets to TasteFest are $35 in advance or $40 at the door, and include a night of sampling from more than 25 restaurants, microbrewers, wineries and distillers. The first 400 guests receive a collectible TasteFest glass at the door. The evening also includes business vendors and live music from the Amy Yassinger Jazz Ensemble. A popular highlight of the evening is the Barrington Bank & Trust money machine, where guests can step in to grab some fast (moving) cash. Guests will also get a chance to cast their vote for the Great Taste Awards for Best Taste, Best Entree, Best Spirit and Best Dessert.

Some of this year's tasting vendors include: Anna Shea Chocolates & Lounge, Apple Villa Famous Pancake House & Restaurant, Broken Earth Winery, Brunch Café, Cary Ale House, Ciao Baby!, Clarke's Bakery & Deli, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Flesk Brewing, Francesca's Famiglia, Garfield's Beverage Warehouse, Georgios Chicago Pizzeria and Pub, La Pizza Via, McGonigal's Pub, Nothing Bundt Cakes, On Occasion Catering & Events, Onion Pub & Brewery, Pepper Park Coffee, Pinstripes, Remember Charlotte's Pizza, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Southern Belles Barrington, The Solana of Deer Park, Tiburon Rum, Vin Chicago, Wild Asparagus Catering, and more.
