Batavia Coat Drive to begin Sept. 21

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation annual Coat Drive begins Sept. 21.

Help those in need in our community with donations of new or clean, gently-used winter items: coats, snow pants, snow suits, hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, and boots in good condition. Items are needed in sizes from infant to adult. The Coat Drive will run from Friday, Sept. 21 through Friday, Oct. 5.

Drop-off bins will be located throughout Batavia. Check website www.bataviamothersclub.org for specific locations or follow us on Facebook to see where donations may be dropped off. All items will be donated to local charities and shelters.

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1934, dedicated to improving the quality of life for children in the Fox Valley area. Each year, the club donates $20,000 to $50,000 to local charities, including the CHIP IN Batavia and CASA Kane County, whose activities support this mission.

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation is open to all mothers in the area who are interested in local philanthropic, service and community activities.
