Rick Lesser Endorsed By NFIB Illinois for State Representative

LAKE BLUFF, IL - The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) announced that they have voted to endorse Rick Lesser for State Representative in Illinois' 58th District. NFIB Illinois is the voice of small businesses and endorses candidates who support and understand the challenges facing Illinois small businesses.

"I am very proud to have been endorsed by NFIB Illinois. As a small business owner, I understand the important role small businesses have in our communities and across the State of Illinois," said Lesser. "We must balance the budget to provide the stability business owners need to make long-term investments and have confidence in the environment in Illinois. By doing so, we can create our own economic boom here in Illinois, leading to higher wages, increased opportunities, and lower taxes for our over-burdened taxpayers and businesses."

Lesser plans to focus on three priorities: balance the budget, enact term limits, and reform pensions. The issues Lesser is championing will have a direct impact on small businesses. Balancing the budget and reforming pensions in particular will create a business-friendly environment, leading to higher wages, increased opportunities, and lower taxes.

"Our members support the candidates who support small business, and Rick Lesser has shown us that he understands the challenges facing Illinois' job creators," NFIB Illinois State Director Mark Grant said. "Rick Lesser will fight to create and maintain an environment where small businesses can grow and create jobs."

The NFIB Illinois PAC's endorsement is critical to Lesser's campaign. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. The PAC's support is based on the candidates' positions and records on small business issues.
