Hoffman Estates to host Platzkonzert Germanfest Sept. 7-9

Hoffman Estates will host its 13th annual Platzkonzert Germanfest at the Village Green from Friday, Sept. 7, through Sunday, Sept. 9.

The fest kicks off at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 with German food and Bavarian beers as The Mike Schneider Band presents its take on traditional German tunes in the Oompah tent.

From 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 8, entertainment is provided by the Johnny Wagner Band, Die Musikmeisters, and a traditional German dance performance by HOTT Productions.

The fun continues from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 9 with repeat performances by Johnny Wagner and HOTT Productions. The Bruce Korosa Polka Band closes out the weekend on a festive note.
