Grab a bite at the 12th Annual Lake Zurich Area Taste of the Towns

Taste of the Towns is returning to Lake Zurich for the 12th straight year, and this year it's an officially endorsed Illinois Bicentennial Event. This family-friendly event will be held, rain or shine, from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road, in Lake Zurich.

Taste of the Towns features a variety of local food and beverage vendors who will be serving samples from their menus. Attendees can enjoy their samples at the pavilion seats or the lawn picnic area, while enjoying music and live entertainment among the lakefront. Children's activities will be held throughout the day, including a visit from the popular Glowby the Bubbler.

Taste Menus are available for $40 before the event on the event's website, www.TasteoftheTowns.com. The menus include a "taste" of food or drink from all vendors and more than $100 in coupons. Taste Menus may also be purchased for $55 on the day of the event, in addition to a $2 entry fee for anyone 21 and older. Only 500 Taste Menus will be sold.

Unlimited Tasting Tokens may also be purchased at the event for $3 each, which allow for one sample of food or drink from a single vendor of choice per token. Attendees can use two Tasting Tokens at one vendor to receive a full serving of the food or drink that vendor offers.

Place, Nothing Bundt Cakes, On Occasion Catering & Events, Orchard Prime Meats, Prairie Kraft's Brewing Company, Signature Popcorn, Smokin' T's BBQ, Trader Joes, UnWined of Long Grove, and Zin Gastro Pub.
