MHS staff members host Mundelein LUNCH

Submitted by Mundelein High School District 120

Three members of the Mundelein High School staff hosted a Mundelein LUNCH at Hanrahan Park on Aug. 2. Special Education Director Jamie DiCarlo, Assistant Principal Mike Pope and Dean of Students Victor Garcia served food and spent some time with the youth of Mundelein.

Mundelein LUNCH is an affiliation of volunteers, mostly from Mundelein churches, who work together to serve free, healthy meals to children in select Mundelein parks every weekday over the summer school break.

Youth ages 18 and younger are eligible to participate in the program. For 2018, the program ran June 4 through Aug. 10.

"This is a great experience for us to stay involved with the young people in Mundelein," DiCarlo said. "I have done this several times in the past couple years and it was always an enjoyable time."
