West Point Builders celebrates grand opening of model homes at The Townes at Ashcroft Walk in Oswego

Interested townhome buyers who have been awaiting the opening of model homes at The Townes at Ashcroft Walk are invited to the grand opening of four professionally decorated model homes.

The grand opening will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 20. Light refreshments will be served. City officials will be on hand for the grand opening, and the public is cordially invited.

Grand opening incentives include full basements, an uncommon feature in area townhomes, and a free patio will be added for those buyers who purchase during the Grand Opening.

"During preview sales, the Townes at Ashcroft Walk have been selling quickly for several reasons," said Pat Curran, president of West Point Builders. "The Townes are located in a master-planned community close to downtown Oswego and within a short walk to elementary, middle and high schools. The townhomes offer quality-built designs for every preference buyer preference, and they are affordably priced, starting from $194,990. The homes include two-car garages, generous outdoor living space and many have pond views. The grand opening will enable visitors to receive the full impact of these well-designed and appointed homes."

Another reason why the Townes at Ashcroft Walk have attracted attention is because the available home designs include a ranch plan, a design that is not available elsewhere in Oswego.

"The ranch plan and the home with the first-floor master bedroom are popular with empty-nesters and others who are downsizing," Curran said. "Some buyers who frequently entertain family or friends from out of town like the flexibility of a plan that lives like a ranch but has private upstairs space for guests. And, the two-story plans are consistently popular with townhomes buyers."

The four townhome designs range in size from 1,395 to 1,935 square feet, with two or three bedrooms (optional third per plan), lofts per plan, two or 2½ baths, full basements and two-car attached garages.

The 1,775-square-foot Cypress is ideal for residents who desire convenient ranch living but who also want private space for guests among their family and friends. Among the highlights are an inviting side entry into the foyer, an open concept floor plan with two-story great room plus a dining room and well-equipped kitchen. The first-floor master bedroom has an extra-large walk-in closet and deluxe bath with both a shower and bathtub plus a double-bowl vanity. The first-floor powder room and laundry room complete the main level.

Upstairs, visitors will find a second bedroom, full bath and large loft or available third bedroom.

The Ashcroft Place neighborhood is distinguished with a landscaped brick entry monument and sparkling ponds and fountains. A new firehouse and police department building are across the road, offering safety and timely service.

Oswego School District 308 is rated No. 52 among 868 school districts in Illinois, and has an excellent math program.

Oswego has been named as a "Premier Place to receive an Education in Illinois." Traughber Junior High School is within Ashcroft, and Prairie Point Elementary School and Oswego High School are a short walk away.

Another advantage of living at Ashcroft Place is its proximity to charming downtown Oswego, just 1½ miles away. The Fox River runs through the picturesque town and I-88 is minutes away. Community highlights include a new Aquatic Center, a well-equipped library and over 317 acres of parks, including a park on the Fox River. The Fox Bend Golf Course is one of the top 20 public courses in the Chicagoland area, and a sampling of other attractions includes the Fox Valley Winery, the Little White School Museum and the Hudson Cross Park and the Veterans Memorial Walk. Community festivals foster a sense of community, and restaurants and shops attract residents and visitors to the inviting downtown. Nearby Naperville also offers plentiful shopping and eateries.

Visitors during the Townes' grand opening can also view a beautiful model home at Ashcroft Place, the sister neighborhood to The Townes. Ashcroft Place offers semi-custom, single-family homes, and a model home is open for viewing. Prices range from $304,990 to $359,990, and two ranch plans and a pair of two-story designs range in size from 2,003 to 3,200 square feet. Grand opening incentives are still in effect for a limited time; they include $10,000 in free options for single-family homes and no site premiums for sites with pond views.
