Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit welcomes new pastor

Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Elk Grove Village, announced that Pastor Steve Okpisz will begin his leadership role Sunday, June 3, at the 9 a.m. service.

Official installation of the pastor is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at the church, 150 Lions Drive, Elk Grove Village.

Okpisz brings more than 20 years of experience to Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit from various Lutheran churches in Illinois, and members are pleased to welcome him to lead the congregation.

Okpisz holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Concordia College, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia College, St. Louis, Missouri.

Members of the congregation are looking forward to working with Okpisz in developing and expanding church ministries in Elk Grove Village and surrounding areas.
