Larkin High engineering students present their innovations

Larkin High School juniors and seniors in Diane Kriescher's engineering class have been preparing for their presentations all year.

The engineering design and development class is the capstone course in the Project Lead The Way pre-engineering curriculum.

These students have developed a real world problem usually starting with something that is frustrating. They have researched the problem, and designed a possible solution.

They made prototypes using the high school's 3-D printers in the engineering lab and tested their prototypes for effectiveness.

The Elgin Area School District U-46 students presented their innovations on Tuesday, May 1, to a panel of engineers in the Larkin High School library.
