Naperville Rotary heads hurricane relief effort

The Rotary Club of Naperville partnered with Meson Sabika last month to raise $42,280 to support hurricane relief efforts by the American Red Cross.

The total included $6,300 in donations from Rotary members, $10,000 in additional funds donated by the Rotary Club of Naperville, and $15,000 from Meson Sabika.

"These funds will touch many lives in the storm-ravaged communities," Naperville Rotary President John Norman said. "I truly believe that when we come together, anything is possible."

The Rotary Club of Naperville has provided leadership through community service, both locally and globally, since 1941. Rotary provides college scholarships, funding for medical screenings, food pantries, homeless shelters, clean water, health and peace and conflict resolution initiatives worldwide, and its most important signature project, eradicating polio.
