Local violinist organizes concert for disaster relief

On Sunday, Oct. 8, enjoy an afternoon of free music along the Fox River at the gazebo at Millennium Plaza, 21 S. Stolp Ave., Aurora. Bring items to benefit those affected by the recent hurricane in Texas.

At 3 p.m. Oct. 8, local musician Lindsey Ward is organizing a benefit concert for the community. Dina Bach also will perform.

Attendees are invited to learn about ways to donate to disaster relief efforts. Ward will be assisting the City of Aurora with its collection of water, feminine hygiene products, socks, baby wipes and diapers.

The city cannot collect clothes, food or anything beyond the very specific list that they've worked on with the Houston Mayor's Office.
