'Meet' artist Georgia O'Keefe

Actress and historian Leslie Goddard will portray artist Georgia O'Keefe discussing her life and works at a meeting of the Glen Ellyn Woman's Club.

Goddard will bring to life O'Keefe as a remarkable artist and personality at the club's first meeting of the 2017-18 year at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn.

Guests are welcome to attend this free program. For reservations, call (630) 469-6372 by Friday, Sept. 8.

The Glen Ellyn Woman's Club is celebrating its 122nd year as a philanthropic organization that supports service organizations in the village of Glen Ellyn and DuPage County. Club members also earn money for scholarships for Glenbard West and Glenbard South High School students.

The club aims to increase membership this year and invites guests to consider joining so they can be entertained and educated by programs planned for the year.
