Temple B'nai Israel's interactive approach to religious school begins Sept. 10

Temple B'nai Israel in Aurora is gearing up for the back-to-school season with a revamped approach to Jewish education.

In partnership with ShalomLearning, the temple's religious program will integrate the latest technology into its yearly studies to make learning even more relevant to the lives of today's generation of children.

This enhanced, interactive curriculum offers a values-based perspective that can be customized to suit each student's needs while also inviting greater parental participation.

By merging advanced software with dedicated classroom time, students will be able to learn at their own pace and take advantage of essential computer tools to help build their Jewish identities and achieve a greater understanding of the Hebrew language.

In addition, the student portal allows parents the opportunity to view their children's work so that they can have a better understanding of the assignments and contribute even more to the entire learning process.

With the religious school's versatile portal in place, instructors also will be able to provide extra support to students and their families.

The first day of classes will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at Temple B'nai Israel, 400 N Edgelawn Drive.
