Carpentersville wood artist selected for May 13 show

Bob Forestall of Carpentersville has been accepted to participate in the American Society of Artists' 27th annual Arts & Crafts Adventure Saturday, May 13, in Park Ridge. The show will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hodges Park, 101 S. Courtland, off Prospect and Vine avenues across from the Park Ridge City Hall. Admission is free.

Forestall stated, "I believe in the ethics of recycle, re-purpose or reuse. My choice of reclaimed material that might otherwise be discarded honors the history of those found materials and gives them new life. I enjoy the inventiveness necessary to transform them into functional items for everyday living.

The wood artist will join with artists and craftsartists from far and near to present an enticing array of work ranging from paintings and jewelry to artwear, glassworks, sculpture and woodcrafts, plus much more.

Additional information may be obtained from American Society of Artists by calling (847) 991-4748 or visiting www.americansocietyofartists.org.
