Windy City Bulls fall to Grand Rapids Gold

The Windy City Bulls, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Grand Rapid Gold 134-103 Saturday night. Windy City was led by guard Chris Clemons who finished with 22 points and two steals. Bulls two-way center Adama Sanogo chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Quenton Jackson finished with 15 points and 11 assists.

The Gold shot 59.1 percent from the field compared to Windy City's 34.1 percent to take a 76-39 lead at halftime. Guard Chris Clemons led Windy City at the half with 11 points.

Windy City outscored Grand Rapids 30-21 in the third quarter, including a 15-0 run in the final four minutes of the quarter. The Bulls finished with 48 points in the paint compared to the Gold's 32 points, but it wasn't enough in the loss.

Grand Rapids was led by guard Andrew Funk who finished with 26 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Denver Nuggets two-way center Jay Huff and Assignment forward Hunter Tyson both finished with 25 points.

With the loss Windy City fell to 4-4 in the regular season, while Grand Rapids improved to 1-7.

Next up, Windy City has a rematch with Grand Rapids at 2 p.m. Sunday. The game will be broadcasted live on NBAGLeague.com.
