As Bulls try to build chemistry, did Donovan save any surprises?

DETROIT - The Bulls are putting together a lot of new faces this year. So during the four preseason games, was coach Billy Donovan holding anything back for the regular season, things an opposing teams won't get a chance to scout?

"It's not like we were going to keep everything completely vanilla and not do anything," Donovan said before Wednesday's season opener. I think you've got to play to the system identity you're trying to play to. But have we shown everything in four games that we've put in? No.

"But you're always kind of adding on, you're tweaking, you're scrapping stuff that maybe you thought was good that wasn't good. I think with this group being new, you're trying to figure out different ways and different actions and things.

"The biggest thing for us is I think there's got to be a real big spacing component to our team, there's got to be and a ball movement and a cutting piece to our team. I think those things are going to be critical to our team."
