St. Charles East looking for new girls basketball coach

Aubree Schuett has stepped down after three years coaching the St. Charles East girls basketball team.

"I've decided to step away to focus on my family," Schuett said. "I've cherished my time coaching at East."

St. Charles East went 27-62 in her three seasons.

Before coaching at St. Charles East, Schuett played basketball at Naperville Central and coached IC Catholic Prep to the state tournament twice. She guided IC Catholic Prep to fourth-place finishes in the Class 2A state tournament in 2014 and 2015, and also coached in Virginia and Maryland before that.

Schuett replaced Lori Drumtra who retired in 2017 after 12 years coaching the Saints.

In her first season with the Saints in 2017-18, St. Charles East went 13-14. They graduated all-time leading scorer Sara Rosenfeldt and played young teams the past two years, finishing 6-24 in 2019 and 8-24 this past year.
