Lake Zurich won the regular season in dual meets and rolled its way to the North Suburban Conference girls bowling championship on Friday.

The Bears ended up the NSC champion with 189 points with Libertyville second at 140. The championship was decided on points from the duals and games in the conference tournament.

It was also the Bears' second straight year to win the conference title.

"It's back-to-back for us," Lake Zurich coach Mel Fox said. "Every girl came today to bowl and win as a team. It was good to see that come together."

The Bears had two bowlers finish in the top two spots. Amanda Kouras was the conference champion ahead of teammate Rogue Foppe 1,170 to 1,145. They were both tied going into the final game, but Kouras outbowled Foppe 208 to 183.

Brianna Haith of Warren finished third (1,118), Zion-Benton's Savanah Rodriguez fourth (1,054) and Kristine Kropp fifth (1,041).
