Bishop McNamara (2-3, 1-2) at Wheaton Academy (3-2, 0-2)

Metro Suburban Blue

Game time: 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

Last week: St. Francis 46, Bishop McNamara 43; Wheaton Academy 51, Christ the King 6.

Last year: Bishop McNamara 48, Wheaton Academy 21.

Outlook: This is held on Thursday as part of homecoming week at Wheaton Academy, whose boys soccer team plays at home Friday. Defending Class 4A runner-up Bishop McNamara has lost to Coal City, IC Catholic and St. Francis, teams a combined 13-1. The Fightin' Irish run a basic scheme but sound linemen, power back Owen Jackson, combo back Manny Harris and quarterback Tyler Hiller are a load. Wheaton Academy's defense, led by linebacker Trevor Donna, wasn't scored upon last week. This is a different animal. Offensively, the Warriors will try to establish the run with Donna and Stephen Garner, who ran for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns in Week 5. Quarterback David Dorn has been solid starting for injured Shane Baumgarten, who saw some action last week.

Next week: Aurora Christian at Bishop McNamara; Wheaton Academy at Aurora Central Catholic.
