Boys soccer: St. Charles East blanks Glenbard North

In a 3-0 win over Glenbard North, St. Charles East (7-1, 1-0) scored all of its goals in the second half, behind Jack Settle's sixth shutout in goal. Renato Avenato scored a goal and also assisted on a goal to lead the St. Charles East offense.

Kaneland 7, Rochelle 2: After taking a 2-1 lead at the half, the Knights (4-3, 2-0) exploded for 5 goals in the second half and earned a commanding victory. Tucker Jahns led the offense with 4 goals and an assist. Allen Dominguez added 2 goals and 3 assists and Garret Robins scored a goal.


Westminster Christian 5, Mooseheart 1: After a slow start in the first half, the Warriors (1-3) scored 4 goals in the second half to earn their first victory of the season on Tuesday. Emmett Siers scored 2 goals and also assisted a goal, and Dillon Leach added a goal and assist for Westminster. Jackson Layne and Justin Glanzer split time in goal, recording 5 saves combined.

CL South 4, Prairie Ridge 1: The Gators (4-2, 1-0) used a balanced scoring attack and formidable defense to defeat Fox Valley Conference foe Prairie Ridge. Garett Schneider had a goal and assist for CL South, while Sam Bahnfleth, Michael Dejworek and Jackson Schuetzle also scored. Carson Hill tended goal for the Gators and tallied 2 saves.
