Boys soccer: Dearborn's 3 goals leads Dundee-Crown to victory

Dundee-Crown 3, Prairie Ridge 1: Roland Dearborn picked up the hat trick to handle all of the scoring for the Chargers (4-1, 1-0) and lead the offense to victory. Julian Saldana assisted 2 of the 3 goals. Venancio Mejia saved 3 shots in goal for Dundee-Crown and Nathan Becker added an additional 3 saves, holding Prairie Ridge to only one goal.

Crystal Lake Central 5, Burlington Central 1: The Rockets (2-2, 0-1) dropped this Fox Valley Conference matchup against a powerful Tiger offense. Josh Madsen scored the only Burlington Central goal and Tristan Samuelian saved 10 shots in goal.

Elgin 3, Downers Grove North 1: Yair Valented scored for the Maroons (2-2-1) in the first half off a pass from Augustin Chavez, and the lead was never surrendered. Olaoluwa Ajayi and Isaac Espinosa scored the second half goals for Elgin and Osvaldo Reyes added an assist.

St. Charles East 2, Maine South 0: Sebastinan Carranza led the offense for the Saints (4-1) with a goal and an assist. Zach Doerr went the distance for St. Charles East in goal with a 6-save shutout.

Kaneland 2, Ottawa 0: Lucas Bass and Tucker Jahns scored a goal each and Allen Dominguez assisted both goals to lead the Knights to victory.

Von Steuben 2, Huntley 0: After taking a 1-0 lead at the half, the Red Raiders (0-2-1) fell in the first round of the Huntley invite Thursday night. Austin Killen scored the lone goal for Huntley in the 28th minute off as pass from Justin Kornas. Ethan Kornas had 9 saves in goal for the Red Raiders.
