Softball: Grayslakes each post wins

Grayslake North 12, Antioch 2: Jess Pozezinski was 3-for-4 with 2 home runs, including a grand slam, a double and 7 RBI, as the Knights beat the Sequoits for the second time this season in Northern Lake County Conference action.

Faith Standerski was 4-for-4 with a double, homer and 2 RBI for Grayslake North. Caitlin Barenbaum was 2-for-2 with a double for the Knights, and Scout Kram added a double and an RBI. Gianna Certa allowed 2 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Grayslake Central 9, Wauconda 6: Ashlynn Coleman homered, singled and knocked in 3 runs, and the Rams won the host Northern Lake County Conference game.

Kennedy Stoffel (RBI), Elisa Koshy (RBI), Grace Bradley (2 RBI) and Reese Taylor were all 2-for-4 for Grayslake Central (15-4, 7-2),

Alexis De La Roca (2-for-4) and Calli Janik (2-for-2) each hit a solo homer for Wauconda (3-12, 2-6). Jackie Johnson was 2-for-4 for the Bulldogs.
