Baseball: Jasnoch pitches Warren past Lake Zurich

Monday's rain and cold couldn't stop Warren's baseball team from winning another game.

Dru Jasnoch went the distance on the mound, scattering 4 hits while striking out five and walking three, as the Blue Devils defeated visiting Lake Zurich 2-1 in North Suburban Conference action.

Mikey Kocen was 2-for-2 with an RBI in a 2-run fifth inning for Warren, which improved to 21-2 and 9-0 in the NSC, while stretching its winning streak to 18 games. Jasnoch improved to 5-1.

Warren improves to 21-2 (9-0 NSC) and currently on a 18 game winning streak.

Lake Zurich (13-7, 4-5) got a double from James Piggott, while Noah DeLuga pitched all 6 innings for the Bears, striking out six and walking five.
