Baseball: Glenbard South, Hinsdale South, Downers Grove South win

Glenbard South 3, Glenbard East 1:

The Raiders (13-6, 9-3) scored all their runs in the top of the first inning to win in the Upstate Eight Conference. Jacob Cyrus went 3-for-3 and Logan Barnick added 2 hits in support of winning pitcher Ryan Creevy.

Hinsdale South 2, Addison Trail 1:

Frankie Klemm pitched a 1-hitter over 5 innings in the storm-shortened West Suburban Gold win for the Hornets (7-9, 2-4). Jake Klepacz and Drew Duckhorn drove in runs.

Downers South 12, Leyden 0:

Chris Gory struck out 10 in a 5-inning 1-hitter for the Mustangs (8-8, 6-1) in their West Suburban Gold victory. Charlie Kuhlman went 3-for-4 while Gory and Jack Blazevich had 2 RBI.

Westmont 16, Plano 6:

A 6-run top of the seventh inning broke open the Interstate Eight victory for the Sentinels (14-6, 3-2). Riley Basit homered and Nick Machacek drove in 4 runs. Matt O'Leary went 2-for-5 with 3 RBI. Joey Dobrovolny was the winning pitcher.
