Girls soccer: Huntley shuts out Streamwood
Huntley 5, Streamwood 0: Yetzemany Solis scored twice for the Red Raiders (5-3-2, 1-1) and Hannah Scholer and Avery Fitzgerald each tallied 2 assists. Jenna Franklin shut out the Streamwood offense, saving 2 shots in goal.
Cary-Grove 2, Mundelein 0: McKenna Sheehan had 2 shots come her way and she saved both, holding Mundelein scoreless. Jenna Stayart had a goal and an assist for Cary-Grove (5-1-1) to seal the victory in a game shortened by the weather.
Crystal Lake Central 2, Elgin 1: The Maroons (5-7, 0-2) were up 1-0 at the half, but a second half score by the Tigers and a 3-2 edge in PKs added up to a tough loss for Elgin. Hayly Munoz scored the regulation goal for Elgin, assisted by Nathalia Garfias.
