Warren 2, Granite City 0: At Lou Fusz Soccer Complex in St. Louis, the Blue Devils notched their first win of the season.

Elizabeth Weinberg scored assisted by Courtney Chomko in the 26th minute, and Athena McGinn got her first goal of the season off a rebound in the 68th minute.

Warren keeper Sarah Barbosa had 2 saves in the first 30 minutes before leaving the game due to injury. Alana Turner replaced Barbosa and had 4 saves in the clean sheet. Turner was named the Blue Devils' player of the game.

Warren (1-3-1) will host Carmel on Tuesday in its home opener.

Round Lake 7, Maine East 0: Dana Devera and Alexandria Wawrzyniak each scored twice for the visiting Panthers (4-1) who won their fourth game in a row.

Claudia Hernandez, Anna Vazquez and Evelyn Hierzer also had goals for Round Lake. Wawrzyniak, Vazquez and Sofia Melesio notched assists.
