Zagunis makes Cubs' roster and starts in left field vs. Rangers

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Cubs have set their 25-man roster for Opening Day, and manager Joe Maddon has posted his lineup.

Outfielder Mark Zagunis, who had call-ups the past two seasons, makes his first opening-day roster for the Cubs. He also gets the start in left field. Here is the starting lineup:

Albert Almora Jr., CF

Kris Bryant, 3B

Anthony Rizzo, 1B

Javier Baez, SS

Willson Contreras, C

David Bote, 2B

Ben Zobrist, DH

Jason Heyward, RF,

Mark Zagunis, LF

Jon Lester pitching

The Cubs will open the season with pitchers Brandon Morrow, Tony Barnette and Xavier Cedeno on the 10-day injured list. Pitcher Kendall Graveman is on the 60-day IL, formerly the disabled list.

Left-handed reliever Brian Duensing has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Class AAA Iowa.
