Huntley splits at Wheaton Warrenville South

Huntley split a pair of games Monday at Wheaton Warrenville South's MLK Tournament.

The Red Raiders (11-10) lost to Plainfield South, 73-72. Ryan Sroka paced Huntley with 26 points, Ryan Crosby scored 14 and Uchenna Egekeze and Ryan Vrugt both added 9.

Huntley defeated Schaumburg Christian, 67-39, taking control with a 22-6 second quarter. Egekeze scored 23 points, and Vrugt had 9.

Grayslake North 89, Streamwood 82: The Sabres (8-14) fell short at the Lake Zurich MLK Tournament. Nikola Sinik led the Sabres with 21 points including four 3-pointers, Keenon Cole had 16, Nick Droll 15 and Jakobe Strong 10.

Waubonsie Valley 58, Elgin 29: At the Burlington Central MLK Tournament, the Maroons (5-16) lost to their former Upstate Eight opponent, falling behind 41-18 at halftime and then scoring just 2 points in the third quarter.
