Boys golf: Anderson, Mundelein top Libertyville

Tanner Anderson fired a 3-under-par 33 to earn medalist honors, and Mundelein's boys golf team shot a 148 to beat visiting Libertyville by 13 strokes in a North Suburban Conference match at Steeple Chase Golf Club on Thursday.

Josh Peterson (38), Colin Wade (38) and Trevor Neumaier (39) also broke 40 for nine holes, as the Mustangs improved to 3-2 in the NSC.

Libertyville (161) got a 39 from James Schmidt and a 40 from Derek Calamari. Carson Darnall and Danny Keating each had a 41 for the Wildcats.

Lakes d. Grayslake North: At Renwood Golf Course, Brad Bies had a birdie en route to a 2-over-par 38, as the Eagles (172) picked up the Northern Lake County Conference win.

Lakes also counted Chance Andell's 41, Jaden Medina's 45 and Salvo Rouse's 48.

Grayslake North (187) was led by Erubiel Avila's 45.

Grant d. Grayslake Central: At Valley Ridge Golf Course, Ben Truss was the medalist with a 4-over-par 39 to lead the Bulldogs (175) to the three-shot win in Northern Lake County action.

Nathan Gladfelter and David Lokietko had a 42 and 43, respectively, for Grant.

Grayslake Central (178) got 43s from Brendan Kick and Nate Twardock.
