Bulls sign former Michigan point guard Walton

The Bulls added point guard Derrick Walton Jr. to their training camp roster Tuesday.

Walton had a successful four-year career at Michigan, then was a two-way player for the Miami Heat last season. He appeared in 16 games for the Heat, while averaging 16.1 points and 7.1 assists for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the G-League.

Walton is a long shot to make the Bulls' roster, but they do have another two-way slot available after using one on former Arizona guard Rawle Alkins.

The roster has one too many players after the Bulls signed both of last year's two-way players, Antonio Blakeney and Ryan Arcidiacono, and claimed guard Antonius Cleveland off waivers.
