The Cubs' Kyle Hendricks (5-8) vs. Michael Fulmer (3-7) Tuesday; Jose Quintana (6-6) vs. Francisco Liriano (3-4) Wednesday. Both games 1:20 p.m.

At a glance:

The Cubs continue interleague play after sweeping the Minnesota Twins in thee games at Wrigley Field. They are 6-4 against American League clubs this year. The Tigers (37-48) rank near the bottom of the key offensive categories in the AL, and their team ERA of 4.40 is ninth. Offensively, Nicholas Castellanos leads the way with a line of .310/.357/.524 with 13 homers and 53 RBI. Former Cub Jeimer Candelario is at .234/.339/.454 with 12 homers and 32 RBI. Leonys Martin, who played in 15 games with the Cubs last year, has 9 homers. For the Cubs, Javier Baez is the first player in franchise history with at least 20 doubles, 5 triples, 15 homers and 60 RBI before the all-star break. Expect a large contingent of Tigers fans at Wrigley Field for both games. The Cubs and Tigers meet in Detroit Aug. 21-22.
