Conant 3, Wheaton North 0: Stephanie Mazurek scored twice, Val Moreno had a goal and an assist and Juliana Maldonia assisted on Moreno's goal as the Cougars' girls soccer team blanked the Falcons in regional semifinal action at Conant.

Taylor Cyr earned the shutout in goal for sixth-seeded Conant, which hosts No. 3 Batavia at 4 p.m. Friday for the regional championships.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
 

St. Charles East 1, Rolling Meadows 0: St. Charles East's girls soccer team, seeded No. 4 in the Geneva sectional, got everything it could handle against No. 13 seed Rolling Meadows on Tuesday.

In Class 4A regional semifinal action at Meadows, the Saints advanced with a 1-0 victory as Rose Stackhouse scored with an assist from Alessia D'Argento.

That earns St. Charles East (12-5-6) a regional title matchup with No. 5 Geneva at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Rolling Meadows.

The Vikings advanced with a 7-0 win over the Hawks.

Barrington 8, McHenry 0: The MSL champs had no trouble advancing in the first round of play at Rockford Auburn in the first round of the Rockford Guilford sectional.

Next up for Barrington is a 6 p.m. Friday matchup against the winner of Tuesday's late Rockton Hononegah/Rockford Guilford game.

Maine South 2, Maine West 0: The Hawks ousted the No. 9 Warriors in regional semifinal play at Maine East. Eighth-seeded Maine South advances to a 5 p.m. Friday regional final against New Trier, the top seed in the Glenbrook South sectional.

Mundelein 1, Hersey 0: The fifth-seeded Mustangs ended 12th-seeded Hersey's season in the second regional matchup of the evening at Mundelein.

Next for Mundelein is a 6:30 p.m. Friday regional final meeting against fourth-seeded Carmel Catholic, which advanced by topping Round Lake 5-0 in the first game at Mundelein on Tuesday.
